The Velvet Principle is a London based wayfinding, sign design and environmental graphics consultancy. We make sense of places - helping our clients to deliver great experiences, by:
1) Developing and implementing wayfinding strategies that help people to find their way to and through places.
2) Encouraging exploration, by communicating what there is to see, do or learn.
3) Capturing and embedding the character of the brand within the fabric of a building.
We operate within the UK and internationally, within the retail, commercial offices, residential, car parks and town centre sectors.
Recent projects include:
1) The Lexicon, Bracknell, UK (Legal & General)- town centre wayfinding strategy, design and implementation.
2) Edinburgh St James, UK (Nuveen) - wayfinding strategy and concept design for a mixed use shopping centre.
3) Clippers Quay, UK (Grainger) - residential apartment buildings.
4) The Waterfront, Oman (S&T) - mixed use retail, leisure and office.
