SciAps, a maker of Raman and NIR analyzers, has entered the LIBS (laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy) market with the Z500 handheld elemental analyzer. Making a splash at the 2014 Pittcon show, the new device has prompted customers to “put their orders on hold until the Z500 is available for shipping”.
