Lumium Lens was approached by Dutch Water Systems, a manufacture of water softener and reverse osmosis systems, to research and analyze the various water purification systems used in rural Indian schools.
Utilizing a sample size of 70 schools, Lens conducted quantitative research in four semi-urban and rural areas. The data collected on hygiene and water sanitation was analyzed to identify opportunities for improvement through design intervention of the water purification systems.
Upon concluding the study, Lumium Lens provided an in-depth report detailing the design of drinking water systems in Indian schools. Additionally, Lens provided suggestions regarding the design direction of Dutch Water Supply’s prospective water purification system.
