Kilkenny Design Consultancy is a small but dedicated design team which is founded since 1989 on the graphic, product, environmental design and model making capabilities established during an original existence as part of the national design service for Ireland (Kilkenny Design Workshops).
Operating from studio and fabrication facilities in the Kilkenny Design complex at Castle Yard, Kilkenny, we offer an integrated range of advisory, creative and production services, which can be tailored to meet the needs of entrepreneur to multi-national client.

The principal members of KDC have been successfully working together for over 20 years on a wide variety of projects, and have developed a network of support services. Clients work directly with a senior designer throughout their project. Projects often cross over several disciplines, but the main service headings are:

Product Design and Innovation
Design of industrial and consumer products from concept sketches through CAD visualisation to specifications for the finished product, bringing creative problem solving to harmonise practical, cost, and visual requirements. The service covers ideas generation, ergonomics, aesthetics, design for assembly and manufacture, with experience in a wide range of materials and processes.

Graphic Design and Brand Identity
Visualisation and production of graphics for a wide range of applications in stationery, promotional material, advertising, livery, signage, print and display, with follow through to materials specification, vendor selection and production supervision. The Consultancy has a special expertise in corporate and brand identity, the production of standards manuals and packaging.

Modelmaking and Prototyping
KDC has in-house planning and production facilities and services as well as trusted sources for a variety of rapid prototyping techniques. Models can be valuable for product development, ergonomics, prototyping, marketing, exhibition and display and even legal purposes.
