Audio Testing Stations.
Until Normal's custom earphones are uniquely crafted for you, you can't listen to them properly. Normal tasked Impel to create a point-of-sale Testing Station that allows customers to experience Normal's high quality audio performance before purchasing a custom 3D-printed pair. A custom made CNC'd aluminum headband displays the earphones and provides convenient handholds to insert and manipulate them in to your earholes for best audio response.
Two versions were created, a large format station for use in the retail store, inspired by turntables and the topographic forms inherent in layered 3D printed parts. A smaller, easily portable unit travels to tradeshows and events in a custom-fit hard case.
