Formlabs partnered with Fresco to create captivating product assets for 3D printer launches, e-commerce, and campaigns, including animations, 3D technical tours, and product renderings. We crafted a versatile digital twin library of their 3D printers and materials, allowing us to innovate and produce fresh content, and eliminating the need for traditional product photography.
Using CAD data and physical product samples, we created high-fidelity digital twins of the Formlabs product line. Every 3D asset is optimized to include all materials, textures, colors, and finishes.
For the Form 4 launch, we aimed to highlight Formlabs' technical prowess – its high speeds and superior 3D printing quality. Collaborating with their creative, design, and engineering teams, we crafted a series of compelling animations to guide the customer through the features – Backlight Unit, Light Processing Unit 4, and proprietary Release Texture.
The hero shots capture the printers inside and out. These product renderings also capture the different printing materials and parts from different customer industries – dental, medical, and engineering.
By designing a virtual 3D printing lab in which to showcase their entire product line, we brought a new level of creative flexibility to Formlabs’s product photography. With a virtual approach to staging products in context, we were able to curate the perfect look and feel and test various compositions with ease.
We rethought this virtual photography scene to create a new story, and add another level of engagement.
