Designer Tahir Mahmood descends on the Design scene in Canada
with a simplistic, yet colorful, approach. A man who wears many hats, his creative style is visibly stamped across every piece he designs.
Starting his career and education as a Graphic Designer, he graduated from NCA, Lahore, with a distinction and moved on to become a well known name in Pakistan for his Art Direction and Graphic Design.
With all his experiences and experiments in the Design field, (focusing for some years on Package design as well)
Tahir eventually arrived in Canada in 2007 and enrolled at the Canadian Film School.
He graduated as a Newmedia Artist, adding yet another hat to his creative wardrobe!
Tahir’s project called WORLD WITHOUT WATER which he designed while at CFC has been selected for the Code Live exhibition at the Vancouver Olympics 2010.
If all roads lead to Rome, then in Tahir’s case, Rome is synonymous with Product design and all his creative energies have been heading in that direction. He started out by designing one lamp and in a short span, has multiplied his designs and products. In his own words …”this is just the beginning” And every piece has a story.
