Founded in 1984, BlueSky is a young, dynamic and leading design consultancy in Australia.
Innovation and design excellence are achieved by means of an advanced Design Process. The advanced design process is a multi disciplinary approach and is based on contributions from the traditional design disciplines as well as from the social sciences, psychologists, environmental specialists and engineering.
Blue Sky operates internationally with clients in Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and China. The scope of the firms work includes specialised niche products through to high volume mass market products where competitive advantage is critical to commercial success. The company has undertaken projects in the fields of consumer electronics, domestic appliances, white goods, medical equipment, lighting systems, sporting goods and information technology products.
A complete development service is provided to clients including, market analysis, concept design, feasibility studies, mechanical development, prototypes and production documentation. We believe in development starting with innovation and sound planning through to quality documentation and aftercare.
The work of the studio is directed by Mark Armstrong who together with senior designers establish design policy for each client and project. The team believes in personal service and maintains a "hands on" approach to design. For each project, a team is assembled with the appropriate balance of skills and disciplines. The interaction of these disciplines is a stimulus to creativity and the resultant design output gives competitive advantage to our clients.
