Facture worked extensively from the research and development phase and into the first Engineering Prototype builds. Through extensive testing of various roasting methodologies, our team developed a hybrid roasting method that combines an adjustable fluid bed flow with mechanical agitation to ensure consistent distribution of heat even at lower air flow rates.
Innovations around chaff separation and exhaust filtration improved not only the potential roast quality but the home roasting experience. Pulling everything together, our Industrial Design team executed a design that balanced user interaction and showcasing the transformation that beans take during the roasting process.
