Agency Profile
EIGA is strategy-based design agency run by its owners.
The agency was founded in 2003 by designers Elisabeth Plass and Henning Otto, who had lived and worked together for some time before setting up their own business.
They first met in 1995 on the Communications Design course at the University of the Arts in Bremen. In their first joint project, Elly and Henning learned how to combine their very different interests and skills to create a formidable design team. Their own personal backgrounds helped them bring a broad range of experience to their joint work. Even after they had graduated and were working for different design agencies, they continued to exchange their experiences on various projects and strengthened their joint vision of contemporary communications. From this came the idea of the interdisciplinary design studio EIGA.
After Elisabeth completed her master’s degree at London’s Middlesex University, they moved to Hamburg together. EIGA was established in 2003 as an interdisciplinary design studio. Since then, the design studio has brought together a team of permanent staff and freelancers from a range of discipli
