Transcatheter aortic valve replacement surgery can be a lifesaver for people with aortic stenosis who are not candidates for traditionalsurgery. Design Concepts simplified the first-generation catheter delivery handle for the Lotus Valve System by blending some of the functions to make the handle easier to use with a number of fail-safes to help prevent operator error. To help train new users and promote the device, we created a prototype simulation device to mimic the feel of using the handle with an interactive application showing the process. This is an investigational device in the United States and not yet avaialble for sale.
