The PowerA GamePad is a minimalist and elegant cradle that presents, powers, and connects the iPad to a flat panel TV for family living room gaming. The GamePad also works with iPhone and iPod Touch, each with differing docking geometries. GamePad expands the way you and your family interact with Apple’s revolutionary device.
Anvil’s approach to the design of the GamePad was an exercise in proportions, minimalism and elegance that drew initial design cues from Apples’ design DNA. The top surfaces’ mirror polish juxtaposed against the undersides’ overmolded TPE non-skid base created a balance between function and elegance. Our creative exploration determined that it should not draw unwanted attention to the overall experience, thus not relate to other overly designed gaming hardware.
