Sundberg-Ferar assisted Chrysler Corporation with the development of its Uconnect automotive touch screen interface. Working closely with Chrysler’s design staff, SF GUI designers helped create interfaces that are intuitive to use, and can be deployed across many vehicle platforms and brands. The Uconnect system was created to be the centerpiece of Chrysler’s infotainment strategy, which was viewed as an independent brand within the Chrysler stable of products.
Sundberg Ferar was responsible for the creation of interaction design concepts and production graphics. SF shared responsibility for Uconnect’s logic and flow with Chrysler’s HMI team, and interacted continuously with various hardware, software, and navigation suppliers to ensure visual integration with Uconnect’s multiple branded themes. This project ultimately encompassed the Chrysler, SRT, Dodge, Jeep, Fiat, Lancia, and Maserati brands.
