The Meta 2 headset scans and maps the surrounding environment to create a truly immersive experience, which is made possible by the high-precision optical assembly. The headset projects images onto the visor from an LCD using lenses treated with a special reflective coating. Meta vision uses multiple cameras located in the temples of the headset that require high tolerance optics in order to map the 3d environment around the user. The lenses are treated with a reflective coating which allows them to reflect an image off an lcd screen for the viewer.
