About Us
Betty Wasserman, one of the best New York interior designers as determined by accomplishments as well as industry and media recognition, launched her design business in 1996 by synthesizing 10 years as a New York based private art dealer with a passion for design and architecture. She is committed to a warm and minimalist approach to her interiors. Known for Loft Spaces and Hamptons beach houses; she became notable in Chelsea for renovating her own loft space, which serves as a showcase and testament to her aesthetic.
Wasserman also designs furniture that is in sync with her modern vision. She launched her own custom furnishings and accessories line in 2002 — featuring crisp, linear designs in wood and steel. Furnishings & accessories are available at www.bettyhome.com. As Wasserman is a lover of horses – she’s been an equestrian since the age of six and is an accomplished competitive horse show jumper – she named all of the pieces in her bettyhome™ line after horses.
A 1990 graduate of Northeastern University (Boston, MA), Wasserman launched an art business the same year, consulting and publishing artwork for corporations. She co-founded dotCom Gallery in 1994, the first online/offline digital art gallery in New York City. She continues to represent over 50 artists, and seeks to integrate their work into her current projects. She displays an array of original artwork in her Flatiron loft.
NYC Interior Designer Wasserman has been published in Elle Décor, Metropolitan Home, Interior Design, Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, HomeStyle, New York Living, Hamptons Havens, and Home Magazine.
Wasserman currently serves on the The Rugmark Foundation USA Board of Directors. Her AWARDS include BEST OF YEAR 2007 and 2010—for Hamptons Homes.
