About this project -

Global home audio equipment market worth will arrive to $22.50 billion by 2020, growing at CAGR of 4.2% from 2014 to 2020. Headphone represents the largest piece of home audio business. Now it is more a fashion icon than an audio device. In the past years, we worked closely with headphone-industry giants on their flagship products, designing eye-catching appearances, creating unique hearing and wearing experiences as well as solving different technical problems.

At the beginning of 2011, Smart teamed with Swedish clothing firm WeSC to create the special edition Smart Brabus tailor, and it was revealed at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show. WeSC was responsible for designing special headphones matching the Smart Brabus. After being chosen to realize the design for WeSC, we started our exploring and creating journey. From design analysis to ergonomic engineering to material selection to finishing process, we provided different plans round by round. Eventually, we created a mixed-blood product satisfying both Mercedes-Benz Smart and WeSC.

According to Smart, the final product of Smart Unisex Premium Black Headphone gives a nod to the car's look, as can be seen in the perforated black ear pads and high-gloss golden highlights.
