Rebranding in a tight market

Client: ecquality timber

In 2007 Terry and his wife Sonoe have been setting up a workshop in China to expand their solid wood business. The high sustainable and ethical standards of “ecquality timber”, as expressed in the brand name, and their passion for solid wood products, call for a visual identity that communicates these values to foreign and Chinese customers and business partners.

The challenge was to address two different mind sets. Foreign clients and Chinese clients. The Chinese client will find the Chinese character for Timber in the logo and the foreign brand name in Latin characters. For foreign clients not familiar with Chinese characters the logo consists of an English brand name that combines Eco (logic) and Quality. The graphic in the logo then resembles a cut tree trunk.

JungleFish supports ecquality with the development of:
- Visual Identity
- Stationery
- Brochure and Leaflets
- Responsive Website
- Exhibition booth
- Showroom
- Employee branding
- Wayfinding system

The new identity was launched 2016 at Domotex Shanghai, the leading tradeshow for timber flooring companies. The new look and feel is well received and visitors are attracted to take a closer look at the products on display and touch the precious wood pieces made from Jarrah, Cypress and Oak. Business impact is very positive.
