We have a history in research, design, and product strategy, helping product organizations connect their designs and decisions to the realities of customers' lives.
Over time, we realized that "good ideas" weren't the thing most needed for our clients to make real impact in the world. The greatest barriers are cultural: tremendous possibility trapped in old organizational structures. Despite people's confidence that they are capable of great things, they keep repeating the same day-to-day processes and conversations.
We’ve learned that creative shifts can emerge from among the people who live the challenge every day. Which is why we do the work we do. We convene people from across an organization or system, help them step outside the old structures, see differently together, and learn new ways of working together.
The context for this work may be tactical -- a specific team and project, strategic -- a shift to improve quality or environmental impact, for example. Or it may be a desired systemic shift in something like a local food system or a slice of the healthcare system.
